Meet Hilary mallinger

co-founder.
sport physiotherapist.

A native of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, I completed my Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Queen's University in 2016. Prior to this, I studied at the University of Toronto, completing a Bachelor of Kinesiology with a minor in Music History and Culture. I have the privilege of working as a sport physiotherapist with Volleyball Canada Senior Women’s Indoor National Team. I have also worked as a sessional instructor with the University of Toronto's Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education, as well as a Clinical Instructor for the University of Toronto's Master of Physical Therapy Program. I have a special interest in working with sport related injuries and rehabilitation, particularly with teenage athletes in run/jump/throw sports, as well as with long distance runners.

I was a competitive cross-country skier for much of my life. I understand the dedication and commitment it takes to be a high performance athlete, and the importance of keeping your body operating at an optimal level. I now spend much of my time training for long distance running races, and have extensive experience helping clients who have similar endurance sport based goals. I love to work with running, jumping and throwing sports injuries, and in particular enjoy working with athletes returning to sport after a surgery (for example, ACL repairs, Achilles’ repairs, shoulder labrum tears, and many more!)

In addition to my current role as a member of the IST (integrated support team) with Volleyball Canada Senior Women’s Indoor National Team, I have worked with Markham Revolution Volleyball Club, Barrie Rugby Football Club, and have volunteered with Figure Skating Canada, Ontario Parasport Games and at the 2015 Pan Am Games. My husband and I have a young daughter, a dog and a cat. When I’m not in the clinic, you can find me out for a walk with my family, training for my next half or full marathon, or in the gym.
