Meet aidan mclaughlin
physiotherapist.
My name is Aidan, and I grew up in the Toronto Beaches. I completed my Master of Physical Therapy at Western University, following a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Trent University. Throughout my education and clinical training, I gained experience across a variety of settings, including orthopaedic and musculoskeletal rehabilitation, sports performance, and neurological rehabilitation.
My interest in physiotherapy, rehabilitation and performance stems from my background and experiences in sport and strength training. Growing up, I enjoyed playing just about every sport I could, eventually developing a strong passion for lacrosse, which I played at the varsity level throughout my university education. These experiences helped shape my passion for helping active individuals build confidence in their bodies and return to the activities that are meaningful to them.
I am committed to providing evidence-informed, patient-centred care that considers each individual's goals, lifestyle and unique circumstances. I use a combination of education, exercise-based rehabilitation and manual therapy to help patients better understand their condition, build capacity and confidently return to the activities they enjoy. I particularly enjoy working with athletes and active individuals, from runners and field sport athletes to those looking to improve their strength and overall physical performance.
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy running, strength training and hitting the ski slopes. I have a particular interest in endurance sports and am currently working toward completing my first Ironman 70.3. I also enjoy playing and watching lacrosse, spending time with friends and family, and finding new ways to stay active.
