chiropractic care
Chiropractic care is a specialized healthcare discipline that focuses on diagnosing, treating, and preventing disorders of the musculoskeletal system, including not only the spine but also the joints, muscles, and nerves throughout the body. Chiropractic care is centered on understanding and identifying the causes of pain to enhance your overall quality of life, using a variety of techniques to address pain, discomfort and functional issues. In a typical chiropractic session, you can expect a thorough assessment of your posture, joint function, mobility, and overall musculoskeletal health. Chiropractors look beyond just treating symptoms, identifying and addressing the root causes of pain or dysfunction.
At Cadence Physiotherapy, our Chiropractor uses a variety of techniques tailored to each individual’s unique needs. These include spinal adjustments, joint mobilizations, soft tissue therapy, education, neurofunctional acupuncture, rehabilitation and/or athletic taping designed to improve movement, reduce pain, and enhance overall function. Our Chiropractor also offers guidance on lifestyle changes, exercise progression, and posture to support long-term health and injury prevention.
Choosing a Chiropractor means partnering with a healthcare professional who has extensive knowledge of the entire musculoskeletal system. Our Chiropractor can help with conditions affecting not only the spine but also the shoulders, hips, knees, elbows, and other peripheral joints. Whether you’re dealing with an acute injury, chronic pain, or aiming to optimize your physical performance, chiropractic care can play a key role in helping you achieve your health goals.
Our Chiropractor can treat the following (but not limited to):
Back and neck pain
Shoulder injuries, including rotator cuff strains
Hip and knee pain
Tendinitis and bursitis
Sciatica and nerve-related pain
Sports-related injuries
Joint dysfunction and stiffness
Headaches and migraines
Postural imbalances and alignment issues
Muscle tension and soft tissue injuries
Pre and post-partum conditions
Whether you’re experiencing back pain, joint discomfort, or a sports-related injury, Chiropractic care provides targeted solutions to help you recover and improve your quality of life.

No, all adjustments do not result in a pop, or a cavitation. A great adjustment may be silent or come with accompanying joint music. At the end of the day, an adjustment should result in positive effects, whether it occurs with or without cavitation, or popping.
-
Most adjustments are not painful. Some people feel instant relief, while others may feel a bit sore afterward, similar to how you might feel after a workout.

We really love that there is such an overlap here. To give you a rough idea of how you can think about this: chiropractors focus on spinal alignment and nervous system function, while physiotherapists emphasize movement rehab, strength, and flexibility. Now, if you’ve received treatment at our clinic by any of our practitioners, you know that we are whole-body focused. So, rather than splitting up the roles of each provider, our goal is to make sure that you see the provider that makes the most sense for your specific situation. Our physiotherapists and chiropractors also collaborate to help you get the best results.
